Where to Buy Supplements in Kenya: Pharmacies, Supermarkets, Marketplaces and Delivery
There are five realistic ways to buy supplements in Kenya, and they differ in price, choice, advice and accountability. This page compares them so you can pick deliberately rather than by habit.
Chain pharmacies
Goodlife Pharmacy, Haltons and Pharmaplus operate branch networks across Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and other towns, often inside malls and supermarkets. They stock mainstream vitamin and mineral brands alongside prescription medicines.
What you get for the higher price: a pharmacist to ask, traceable stock, licensed premises and a route for complaints.
Supermarket pharmacies and health aisles
Naivas, Carrefour and Quickmart carry vitamins and general supplements in their health and beauty sections, with pharmacy counters at larger branches.
The range is narrower and skewed to mainstream products, but prices are competitive and the shopping is convenient.
Independent chemists
Neighbourhood chemists serve most of the country outside the main chains and are often the only option in smaller towns. Many are excellent; the variable is the individual outlet.
Look for a displayed Pharmacy and Poisons Board licence and a registered pharmacist or pharmaceutical technologist on site.
Online marketplaces
Jumia Kenya and Kilimall list a very wide supplement selection from third-party sellers, with Jiji operating as classifieds. Prices are often the lowest available.
Because listings are seller-operated, the seller matters more than the platform. Check ratings, read recent reviews, and inspect the pack on delivery.
Direct order with delivery
Many products, including most of those documented in our catalogue, are sold through an order form and a confirmation call, delivered by courier with payment on receipt.
The advantage is delivery to almost anywhere in the country and the ability to inspect before paying. The limitation is that these products are rarely available for comparison in a shop.
