In Tanzania most supplements are bought face to face — in pharmacies and licensed medicine shops in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mwanza and Dodoma — with online ordering handled largely through direct call-centre and social-channel sales.
Tanzania is regulated by Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA). Swahili is the working language of most counters, and product labelling is a mix of English and Swahili.

Because national marketplace coverage is thinner than in Kenya or Nigeria, telephone ordering with cash on delivery is a common route for supplement purchases.
The Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority regulates medicines and related products and licenses pharmacies (duka la dawa). The Tanzania Bureau of Standards covers standards for food-type products including many supplements.

| Organisation | Type | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| TMDA-licensed pharmacies | Pharmacy chain | Pharmacies and Duka la Dawa Muhimu outlets licensed by TMDA. The authority publishes registers that let you confirm an outlet or a registered product. |
| Supermarket health aisles | Supermarket pharmacy | Larger supermarkets in Dar es Salaam and Arusha carry mainstream vitamins and minerals. |
| Call-centre ordering | Online pharmacy | Many herbal supplement brands sell through an order form and a confirmation call, with payment on delivery. Confirm the exact product, pack size and total price on the call. |
Directory entries describe real, established organisations, checked on 29 August 2026 and worth confirming on the retailer’s own site. We do not claim any of them stocks a specific product.
Listing is not endorsement. Where a supplier has published no composition, the product page says so.

These products have been proposed to us by a partner network but are not yet documented: we have no confirmed offer reference, no landing page, no order route and no packaging image for them. They are listed here so you can see where our coverage is going — not as products you can buy today. There is no price and no order link because neither would be verified.
| Product | Category | Market | Status |

| Insulinol | Blood sugar support supplements | TZ | Awaiting verification |
We publish a product page only once we can name the offer, check the landing, verify the price and show the actual pack. Until then a listing like this is the honest maximum.
Documented direct-order products in Tanzania advertise between 89,900 and 89,990 TZS per pack. These are promotional figures rather than retail prices, and they change. Pharmacy prices for labelled equivalents span a wider range in both directions.
Cash on delivery is the norm across the region and is a genuine consumer protection: open the parcel in front of the courier, check the product name, pack size, batch number, expiry date and seal, and decline it if anything does not match. Courier networks reach Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mwanza, Dodoma, Mbeya, Morogoro, Tanga, Zanzibar City and other centres.
Working languages: Swahili, English. Labelling should be legible in an official language of the country.
