Where to Buy Supplements in Nigeria: Pharmacies, Marketplaces and Delivery
Buying supplements in Nigeria means choosing between licensed pharmacies, retail chains, marketplaces and direct delivery. Check the NAFDAC registration number on the pack; if you cannot see it, ask the seller to point it out.
Pharmacies and licensed outlets
NAFDAC registers dietary supplements sold in Nigeria and issues a NAFDAC registration number that appears on the pack. The agency also runs consumer verification tools that let you look up a registration number.
- HealthPlus — Nigerian retail pharmacy chain with a large vitamins and supplements assortment and online ordering.
- MedPlus — National pharmacy chain with branches in Lagos, Abuja and other cities, plus an online store.
- Alpha Pharmacy — Retail pharmacy group with a consumer health and supplements range.
Supermarkets and general retail
Larger supermarkets in the main cities carry mainstream vitamins and minerals in a health and beauty aisle. The range is limited compared with a pharmacy, and no professional advice is available at the shelf.
Marketplaces and online sellers
- Jumia Nigeria — Large marketplace; supplement listings are seller-operated, so compare the NAFDAC number, seller rating and return policy.
- Konga — General e-commerce marketplace with a health category from third-party merchants.
- Jiji Nigeria — Classifieds site used by private sellers. Agree delivery with payment on receipt and check the pack when it arrives.

How does ordering with payment on delivery work in Nigeria?
- Check the NAFDAC registration number on the pack; if you cannot see it, ask the seller to point it out.
- For a supplement you take daily, choose a chain pharmacy, an established online pharmacy or a direct order line with payment on delivery.
Pay only when the parcel is in your hands. An adviser confirms by phone that the courier delivers to your area, and you pay in cash on delivery after a quick look at the product name, pack size and expiry date.
Delivery coverage
