Ayumi Ingredients and How the Four Botanicals Work Together
Ayumi combines four named botanicals: turmeric (Curcuma longa), boswellia (Boswellia serrata), black pepper (Piper nigrum) and devil’s claw (Harpagophytum procumbens). The full composition and the amount of each extract are printed on the jar label by Rukano Botanicals Ltd.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa)
Root (rhizome)
The golden root of Indian and East African kitchens. Its best-known compounds, the curcuminoids, have made turmeric one of the most studied botanicals in the world and the centrepiece of many joint formulas.
In Ayumi it is one of the two core ingredients behind “supports mobility and flexibility”.
Boswellia (Boswellia serrata)
Gum resin of the Indian frankincense tree
Boswellia belongs to the frankincense family — the same family as the trees of the Horn of Africa. Its resin carries boswellic acids and is a classic botanical in joint and mobility formulas.
Paired with turmeric, it gives Ayumi its two-botanical core.
Black pepper (Piper nigrum)
Peppercorns
Black pepper is in Ayumi for turmeric’s sake. Its piperine helps the body take up curcumin, which on its own is poorly absorbed — the reason turmeric and pepper are paired in so many formulas.
Devil’s claw (Harpagophytum procumbens)
Root of a Kalahari plant
A plant of the red sands of Namibia, Botswana and South Africa, named for its hooked seed pods. Its roots have been gathered for joint comfort in southern African tradition for generations and are now used in joint formulas worldwide.
How the Ayumi ingredients work together
Ayumi pairs two core botanicals — turmeric and boswellia — with a helper and a finisher: black pepper helps the body use turmeric, and devil’s claw adds an African root with a long joint tradition. The result is one capsule that covers what would otherwise be several separate products.
Taken twice a day after meals, the formula stays with you from the first steps in the morning to the end of a long day.
The full label. The jar label lists the complete composition and the amount of each extract per capsule. Ask the adviser to read it out on the call, or check it yourself when the parcel arrives.
