Saw palmetto is a small palm from the south-eastern United States whose dark berries are dried and extracted. It is the botanical men’s prostate formulas are best known for — the most widely sold men’s herb in Europe and North America.

Because the tree is protected, international trade in its bark is regulated — one reason pygeum is valued wherever it appears in a formula.
