Three prostate products sold in Kenya, compared on what they declare rather than what they promise. In this category the first comparison is not between products — it is between buying one and seeing a doctor.
Urinary symptoms in men over forty-five can come from benign prostatic enlargement, prostatitis, infection, bladder problems or prostate cancer. They look identical from the outside, and only examination distinguishes them.
Two of these three products name a single component; one names four recognisable botanicals. All three are advertised with language that food supplements may not lawfully use.

What to compare on
Named ingredients
Prostcare names saw palmetto, green tea, lycopene and curcumin. The other two name only sharpleaf galangal fruit.
Extract standardisation
For saw palmetto, whether the extract is lipidosterolic and standardised determines whether any trial evidence applies at all.
Claim compliance
Advertising in this category regularly claims to treat prostatitis or have antibacterial action. Those are medicinal claims a supplement may not make.
